They allege that he said to 'Ali b. Abi Talib, "My son, what is this religion which I see you practicing?" He replied, "Father, I believe in God and His Messenger. I accept the truth of the message which he has brought, and I pray to God with him." They also allege that Abu Talib said "He calls you to nothing but good, so adhere to him."
